About Me...

Growing up, I wanted to be:

An ice skater
An archaeologist
An architect
A writer

Instead, I became a children's librarian.

It was the perfect job for me! As a librarian, I got to spend lots of time with children (the best people on earth), and learned a lot about what they liked to read. One of the best parts of my job was TELLING stories along with my co-workers Georgeanne, Betsy, and Karen. I even got to teach storytelling as an adjunct professor with Ashland University.

What I care about...

1. My family

2. My friends

3. Libraries

4. Eating healthy

5. Women's rights

What I love to do...

1. Stay at Bed and Breakfast inns

2. Walk barefoot on the beach

3. Spend time with friends and family

4. Garden

5. Read

6. Write, write, write!

My heroes are...

People who give their lives to something bigger than themselves, like Malala Yousafzai, John Wood, and Lone Droscher-Nielsen.

My biggest hero was my mother, Juyne, who loved deeply and unselfishly, read voraciously, and adored butterflies, especially purple ones.
